Almaty will have tour buses, head of Almaty Tourism Department Bakitzhan Zhulamanov told Tengrinews.kz. According to him, three tour buses will be purchased in 2013 and will start cruising the city right away. The tours schedules and and routes have already been prepared. There will be specific tours that will have a theme, such as Theaters of Almaty, and general tours around the city. The routes will cover the total of 20 sights in Almaty. The officials decided not to buy double-deckers and opted for normal buses with around 30 seats. The ticket will cost from 2 to 5 thousand tenge ($13-33), Zhulamanov said. Free tours around the city are already available on holidays, Almaty Tourism Department said. These tours are popular among both foreigners and local residents.
