Only graduates of local universities work at the production facility in Aktau. The have already adopted experience from their Korean colleagues and started assembling TV-sets and planning to start assembling tablet computers. The factory already has two assembling lines allowing it to manufacture 280 tablet PCs or 180 monitors a day. The factory will start operating by the end of 2011. According to Director of Caspiy Electronics Aleksandr Pavlenko, the production facility is located at the territory of Morport Aktau special economic zone. Thanks to its location the factory is exempted from customs duties and corporate income tax, which significantly decreases production cost of the goods. The facility is capable of producing 20 thousand items a month. As per calculations made by Tengrinews.kz, should the facility increase its capacity, the tablets production will probably be able to fully meet the country's population demand in 30 years. However, a decision on the capacity increase will be taken only after the factory starts operating. By Zhuldyz Seisenbekova
