4G will be in all big cities of Kazakhstan by 2015, Tengrinews.kz reports according to the website of Kazakhstan’s Prime-Minister Karim Massimov. 4G is the fourth generation of cell phone mobile communications standards. Construction of the 4G network has already been started in Almaty and Astana; it will be launched in the beginning of 2013. A year later 4G will be available in all the administrative centers of the country (largest cities of 14 Oblasts of Kazakhstan). By 2015 the network will cover all urban centers with a population of over 50 thousand people. 4G will enter district centers by 2018. Besides, 4G LTE standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals is being implementing in Almaty and Astana. A pilot project of this standard has already been launched. Five base stations have been installed to test the system.
