A patient who disappeared from one of the municipal hospitals in Astana was found dead in a snow bank on the hospital grounds, Tengrinews reports citing Astana TV channel. The body of 44 y.o Bakhytzhan Orynbayev was discovered by a utility provider's team that arrived to clean the snow. On January 19, Orybayev was admitted to the Astana Municipal Hospital #1 with an arm burn complications. After two hours, a nurse called the relatives of the patient to inform them that Orynbayev had run away. One of the nurses was escorting Orynbayev to the elevator, when the doors opened she turned to usher him in only to find that he disappeared. There were no traces of the patient. The escapee was found only four weeks later. It is yet unknown how he ended up in the snow bank right under a window of the hospital. A brother of the deceased had taken photos of the body before it was taken away. Orynbayev seems to have fallen from a roof or a window and broken his leg. He also has some wounding on his stomach. The cause of this death in not know clear either. It may have been the fall ora long and painful death in the freezing snow. An autopsy will determine the cause of death. The mystery of a runaway patient remains.
