Nursultan Nazarbayev visited a multi-purpose children hospital constructed in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Astana administration's press-service. According to the press-service, the multi-purpose children's hospital will be able to accommodate 350 patients with its consulting-and-diagnostic clinic covering for another 250 visitors per shift. The complex with the area of 56 thousand square meters includes 8 blocks and is located at the crossing of Abylai Khan and Kobda streets. The hospital is going to be opened this autumn. The total cost of the project made 16.5 billion tenge ($112 million). The in-patient department of the hospital is made of 14 clinic and 6 auxiliary facilities. There are two reception wards and almost all of the beds are surgical. The hospital is equipped with up-to-date diagnostic and treatment equipment of the world's best manufacturers. The clinic will offer services in 29 areas: 16 therapeutic and 13 surgical. Comfortable conditions will be provided for children. The hospital's project has been developed by Akmolproject and Shar Kurylys is the general contractor. "The main advantage of this facility is unification of the whole range of surgical services in one clinic, supplied with up-to-date diagnostic and treatment equipment, opening of new departments of conbustiology, oral surgery and rehabilitation, as well as separation of currently joint departments of neurosurgery, neurology and nephro-urology," the press-service writes.
