Neurosurgery remains the priority direction of healthcare in Almaty in 2013, KazTAG reports citing head of Almaty Healthcare Department Zhanat Kassymzhanova. "Neurosurgery is being made part of the aide to patients with apoplectic shocks. "Cardiac surgery aid was intensely developed, which helped decrease the level of hospital mortality from acute myocardial infarction by 19 percent. Early coverage of patients allowed to lower the mortality from myocardial infarction in the city cardiac surgery center from 12 to 10 percent," Kassymzhanova noted. Besides, according to her, the citizens' mortality from malignant tumors decreased by 5 percent, while TB mortality went 3 percent down. Meanwhile, TB morbidity lowered by 7.4 percent.
