14 y.o Timofey Verevkin’s story has a happy ending thanks to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in India, Tengrinews reports citing Larisa Andreeva of the Pavlodar Charity Fund.

“Today, Timofey’s mother told us that the Kazakhstan Embassy in India helped pay all the treatment expenses to the Indian hospital. Ambassador Constantin Chin came to the hospital and said that the money issue was resolved and the debt was paid off. Today, Timofey has been discharged from the hospital,” Andreeva said.

But it is too early for Timofey to come back to Kazakhstan. He still requires outpatient treatment. Timofey’s mother Victoria said that it is not as expensive as staying in the hospital. The family has extended their visa till July.

The 14 y.o Kazakhstani was diagnosed with aplastic anemia and juvenile osteoporosis. He received treatment at the Fortis Memorial Research Institute in India thanks to the donations. Unfortunately, the teen had complications after chemotherapy and was brought into the intensive care. As a result, the medical bill amounted to $12 thousand that was more than the family had from the donations.

To the relief of the mother and son, the issue was resolved. Victoria thanked everyone who helped them in the time of need.
