Unbridled consumer loans are a “new bomb” to blast the country’s financial sector, Newskaz.ru reports, citing Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev as saying. “Mr. Kairat Kelimbetov, the newly appointed Central Bank Governor, is commissioned to look into the situation (…) payback of these consumer loans is questionable. They are a new bomb”, President said at a government sitting October 11. According to him, the consumer loans figure in Kazakhstan has grown by 50% recently.
