Gazprom is going to pay a remuneration in the amount of 18.7 million rubles ($616 thousand) to its board member Timur Kulibayev, KazTAG reports citing Moscow News. According to the magazine, on May 22 Gazprom board will approve the documents for the annual shareholders meeting, including the suggested remunerations to the board members. According to Russian legislation, those members working in state authorities have no right for such remuneration. According to the source in Gazprom, chairman of the board Viktor Zubkov is going to get paid 22.2 million rubles ($740 thousand), if he is does not sign up with to a public service before the date of the shareholders meeting on June 29. Deputy chairman of the board and head of Gazprom Aleksey Miller will received 21.5 million rubles ($717 thousand), which is 900 thousand ($30 thousand) more that in 2010. Vladimir Putin's and Dmitry Medvedev's teacher, head of a school in Saint-Petersburg State University Valeriy Mussin, who chairs the audit commission, will get 19.5 million rubles ($650 thousand). Two other members of the audit commission - ex-minister of state property Farit Gazizullin and deputy chairman of Gazprom Mikhail Sereda - are expected to get 18.7 million rubles ($623 thousand) each. “The remaining 6 members of the board that are not state employees, will get 18.3 million rubles ($610 thousand) each. Gazprom will spend the total of over 200 million rubles ($6.7 million) on payment to the board,” the magazine writes. Timur Kulibayev, chairman of the presidium of Kazakhstan National Economic Chamber Soyuz Atameken and chairman of Kazakhstan Association of Oil and Gas and Energy Companies Kazenergy, has been a member of Gazprom board since June 2011. The main direction of Gazprom’s activities is geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and sales of hydrocarbons, as well as production and sales of electric and heating energy.
