Kazakhstan’s economy growth is expected should be maintained at 6-7% in 2014, Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has set the task for his Government in the Address to the Nation today, Tengrinews reports. “The Government is tasked with maintaining the national economy growth at 6-7%. Besides, there should be a package of measures drafted before May 1, 2014 to reduce the inflation rate to 3-4% in the mid run”, President said. “A blanket program to develop the financial sector to 2030 must be drafted by June 1, 2014”, the President commissioned. He also emphasized that the country’s GDP is to be raised 4.5 times by 2050 from the current $13 000 to $60 000 per capita. Earlier Tengrinews.kz reported that the inflation rate as of the end of 2013 stood at 4.8%. “That is record low in the last 15 years”, according to the State Agency for Statistics Alikhan Smailov.
