Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has commissioned his Government to consider compensating for part of expenses incurred by parents sending their children to child care facilities, with compensation packages depending on the number of children in each family, according to President Nazarbayev’s article titled “Social Modernization of Kazakhstan: 20 steps towards Society of Social Inclusion and Employment” published July 10. Within two months’ time, the Cabinet is to come with ideas on how to provide women following their maternity leave with opportunities to raise their qualification or be retrained for a more demanded occupation at the expense of the state. Besides, some amendments should be worked out to provide for tax benefits for families with a lot of children. Before September 1, 2012 the Government along with the ruling Nur Otan party are to amend the national legislation on support to the young through redefining the term “young professional” and raising minimum salary and social benefits package for this category of workforce. In addition to that, before the end of the year the Government is to come with incentives to get the youth more engaged in the nation’s industrialization programs.
