Kazakhstan’s Central Bank Governor Kairat Kelimbetov is happy over his growing publicity on the Internet in the wake of the yesterday’s 20% currency devaluation, a Tengrinews.kz journalist reports. “I regard [my growing publicity] to be a positive thing. Before yesterday I had never enjoyed such popularity. My popularity ratings in my own family had never been so high. My family members are asking me to keep a lower profile. Unfortunately, it wasn’t me who incited this publicity”, he told a briefing at the President’s Public Communications Service when commenting on Internet jokes on him. He said he was glad Kazakhstanis treated the currency devaluation with a portion of humor. “I liked the posters made of the Wolf of Wall Street movie with my face added on”.
