Tengrinews.kz – Deputy Chairman of The State Revenue Committee of Ministry of Finance Seilzhan Akhmetov named the amount of the largest debt of a bankrupt in Kazakhstan.

Almost 18 thousand citizens have been declared bankrupt in Kazakhstan. The total amount of debt is 40.9 billion tenge.

"There are no limits on the amount of debt. The average amount ranges from several thousand tenge to 2 billion tenge, this was the largest amount," Seilzhan Akhmetov said at a briefing at CCS.

Journalists asked whether the said 40.9 billion would fall in the form of interest on law-abiding borrowers.

"I think all financial organizations bear certain risks when issuing loans. I think that they will be covered by financial organizations and this will not affect the population in any way," Akhmetov answered.
