'Where winter meets autumn': Kazakhstani captures the beauty of Lake Issyk

Tengrinews.kz – A Kazakh videographer has captured the mesmerizing beauty of Lake Issyk. The footage conveys a unique atmosphere and was filmed just after a light snowfall.

The Kazakhstani shared the video on his Instagram and Threads accounts. We contacted the creator — Ilyas. According to him, he has been passionate about filming for the past five years.

“I shot this footage early in the morning, between 8 and 9 a.m. I’m originally from Yesik (Almaty Region), and I knew in advance that it would snow there. That’s why I went out to film. The atmosphere was unusual, almost magical — like autumn and winter had met. I love coming back here again and again to capture the lake in all seasons,” Ilyas told us.

He described a special mood at the site, where the autumn landscape gently blends into winter scenery. During filming, there were no tourists around the lake.

The video and landscape left social media users in awe. In the comments, people shared their admiration — some even joked about dropping everything just to see the lake in person:
