Tengrinews.kz - A unique video has surfaced online, captured in the Archat Forestry of the Katon-Karagai National Park, showing three snow leopards. The footage was taken by a camera trap and features a mother snow leopard with two adolescent cubs.
The video was posted on the official Instagram page of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee.
"The camera trap in the Archat Forestry of the Katon-Karagai National Park recorded a video of three snow leopards—a female with two teenage cubs. The camera was set up by staff from the Zoology Institute (Almaty) and the Archat Forestry of the Katon-Karagai Park," the statement from the agency said.
It was noted that the first video of a female snow leopard with cubs in the park and the Kazakh Altai was recorded on June 11, 2024.
"This indicates that the presence of snow leopards in the park has become permanent," the agency added.
