Shanghai-based designer Guo Qingshan spotted an unusual mountain in Yichang, Hubei Province, China, while on vacation on Valentine's Day. Its shape reminded him of a puppy's head drinking from the Yangtze River. Guo shared the sighting on Weibo, and the post went viral, with 120 000 likes and the hashtag #xiaogoushan in 10 days.

"It was so magical and cute. I was so excited and happy when I discovered it," Guo Qingshan said.
Many social media users admitted that they had already been to this mountain, but few noticed its resemblance to a dog. Now tourists from all over the country come to it to take photos, and some take their dogs with them, comparing and photographing them with the "stone puppy."

Yichang resident Shi Tong, like many others, after seeing the photos on the Internet, realized that he had already been there several years ago.
"I thought it looked like a dog at that time too!" he shared.
Local resident Yang Yang specially travels half an hour every day to walk on the mountain with her two-year-old poodle Yan Keyi.
"I always travel with my dog if possible, so Puppy Mountain and my own little dog really match," she shared.
