Tengrinews.kz – A jungle cat, one of Kazakhstan’s most secretive and least-studied predators, has once again been captured on surveillance cameras, according to AkZhayyk.

The rare footage was taken during field observations in the Akzhayyk State Nature Reserve.

Experts note that spotting a wild jungle cat in its natural habitat is a rare stroke of luck. These animals are nocturnal, avoid humans, and are masters of camouflage in the dense vegetation of riparian ecosystems.

Reserve staff emphasize that the appearance of the jungle cat indicates favorable environmental conditions and successful biodiversity conservation efforts in the region.
