Tengrinews.kz – Due to a powerful geomagnetic storm that hit Earth, residents of northern regions of Kazakhstan were able to witness the northern lights last night.

The geomagnetic storm began on the evening of March 25 and ended the following morning.
Earlier, the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy, SRI RAS reported that Earth encountered a series of geomagnetic storms at the end of March. For several days, weather-sensitive people worldwide have been experiencing discomfort due to increased geomagnetic activity.
The storm that has been raging on Earth in recent days was caused by a solar flare last Friday. The solar material reached Earth within 56 hours, experts report. Scientists believe that this eruption was one of the largest this year.
