Tengrinews.kz – If you're looking for a place to connect with wildlife and witness rare animals in their natural habitat, then Sayram-Ugam National Park is the perfect destination. Recently, camera traps installed in the park captured unique representatives of Kazakhstan's fauna.

What was captured

The camera traps in Sayram-Ugam National Park recorded several rare animals that are rarely seen by humans:

  • Turkestan lynx;
  • Indian porcupine;
  • Wolf;
  • Siberian roe deer.

Park staff explain that the camera traps not only act as "photographers" but also help protect animals by monitoring their needs. In winter, efforts to support wildlife are particularly active: animals are provided with pre-prepared food to help them survive the cold season.

It is important to note that hunting is completely prohibited in Sayram-Ugam National Park. Regular conservation efforts are carried out to protect wild animals, ensuring that their populations remain stable and continue to thrive in their natural environment.
