Tengrinews.kz – Russian scientists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS) have reported at least 100 new sunspots in one of the Sun’s regions, according to RIA Novosti.

Tengrinews.kz – Russian scientists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS) have reported at least 100 new sunspots in one of the Sun’s regions, according to RIA Novosti.

“In the main solar active region, No. 4197, some kind of hell has been going on all day. Over the past 24 hours, probably no fewer than 100 new sunspots have appeared there. Where all this energy is going is completely unclear,” the researchers stated.

At the same time, the scientists emphasized that “not a single flare occurred” in that region during the day.
