Three students, aged between 18 and 20, were killed and another four injured after a wall collapsed at the University of Minho in Braga, northern Portugal, AFP reports according to emergency services.

The wall "partially collapsed on a group of students who walked by", Vitor Azevedo, the regional commander of civil protection services, told a local radio station.

The students who died were all studying computer science.

The four who survived were all taken to hospital, one of them with serious injuries.

It was how unclear how the accident occurred but witnesses quoted in the Portuguese media said it happened during an alleged incident of hazing.
