Tengrinews.kz - Three people were injured during the testing of gas equipment in a private house in Karaganda. Two of them are in intensive care.
The incident occurred in a private home in the New Market area. The owner decided to install a gas tank in the garage for heating and hired a specialized company for the job. The workers set up the equipment and, along with employees from another company, were filling it with gas in test mode. According to preliminary data, an explosion occurred during the testing of the gas tank.

"During the filling of the gas equipment, a flash of the gas-air mixture occurred. According to the Ministry for Emergency Situations, the equipment was installed recently. Three people were injured. We urge city residents to follow safety measures and invite only certified organizations for the installation of gas equipment," said Tamerlan Abylkasymov, head of the Karaganda Housing Inspection Department.
The injured sustained thermal burns and were urgently hospitalized.
One of the victims received first aid at the scene from an emergency response team of the Center for Disaster Medicine. Two people were admitted to intensive care in serious condition.
"All three patients have thermal burns, and the ages of the patients in intensive care are 21 and 52. The third patient has been hospitalized in the department of combustiology, and his condition is of moderate severity. Doctors are doing everything possible," reported the press service of the Department of Healthcare of Karaganda region.
Recall, on July 20, a sudden fire eruption occurred in Karaganda at furnace No. 1 of a ferroalloy plant, resulting in injuries to eight workers of the enterprise. The injured workers sustained varying degrees of injuries.
