A car has smashed into a school bus in Almaty oblast, the The Territory of Accidents show of STV channel reports. The accident happened at 13:20 today on a country road between Turar and Arai villages 8 kilometers to the north from the Almaty-Bishkek highway. The MAN passenger bus was carrying around 50 school children from nearby villages. A Volkswagen Passat was driving in the opposite direction, it drove into the wrong side of the road and smashed into the bus. The impact sent the bus in a roadside ditch. According to the preliminary information, around 10 children and the bus driver were slightly injured. The driver of the car (born in 1964) died on the spot. A rescue team of the Kazakhstan Emergency Ministry has already pulled the bus back to the road using hydraulic equipment.
