Tengrinews.kz – An Air Astana flight KC 859 from Almaty to Aktau made an emergency landing on August 31 due to a technical malfunction, citing Lada.kz.
Passengers said they noticed unusual noises during takeoff, and about half an hour after reaching cruising altitude, the aircraft suddenly began to descend.
FlightRadar24 data showed the plane circling several times above Aktau Airport before landing.

Residents of nearby villages Akshukur and Sayyn Shapagatov reported that ambulances and fire trucks arrived at the scene.
“People were praying, women were crying, even the flight attendants looked panicked and frightened. At one point, there was an announcement about a forced landing somewhere in the steppe. The stewardess’s voice was trembling with fear,” one passenger told ZTB.
