“On June 27-28 in Karaganda Oblast and on June 28 in Almaty Oblast the temperature will rise to 41 degrees Celsius. On June 27-28 in Zhambyl Oblast the temperature will rise to 43 degrees,” the report said. On June 27, the temperature in Astana will hit 33-35 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile rain shower with thunderstorm is expected in Western, Northwestern, North and Southern regions. In other regions the weather will be clear. In South Kazakhstan, Akmola, Kostanai, Zhambyl and Mangystau Oblasts increase of wind to 15-20 meters per second is expected. In North Kazakhstan Oblast, Kazhydromed, the national weather service, forecasts fog at night with an increase of wind to 15-20 meters per second during the day.
Kazhydromed reported abnormal heat during the day in Akmola, Atyrau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda, South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Almaty Oblasts. In certain areas of Kostanai, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Western Kazakhstan and Mangystau Oblasts the weather will be extremely hot.
In certain areas of the country, fire danger ratings are very high. In addition, in Southern parts the level of water in mountain rivers might rise drastically.
