200 workers involved in construction of West Europe - West China in Kyzylorda oblast stopped their protest campaign and went back to work, Majilis deputy Murat Abenov told Tengrinews.kz. After a href="http://tengrinews.kz" target="_blank">Tengrinews.kz published information that the workers are on a strike, Nur Otan’s group dealing with construction of West Europe – West China road left for Kyzylorda oblast to meet with the management of Azer Corp. According to Abenov, who is heading this group in Kyzylodra oblast, the conflict emerged from insufficient work organization, weak interaction between management and the workers and violation of the labor legislation. “The conflict was boosted by the company’s orders to decrease daily fuel ration of drivers. The grounds for such decision were not correctly explained to the workers. There were other issues related to observance of labor contracts. Such facts require additional review and checks. After explanations the workers went back to their duties.” MP also said that a meeting of the company management and Nur Otan’s control group was scheduled to take place the same day. He stressed that management of oblast department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Department of Roads of the Ministry of Transport and law-enforcement authorities have been to the incident site earlier. Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported that workers of Azer Corp complained about low salaries and bad working conditions. This is the third time the constructors have gone on a strike. They say that the company’s management is not giving heed to their requests.
