A man has fallen down an elevator shaft in Kazakhstan Hotel in Almaty city, AFP reports citing the official website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. The accident happened at 10 a.m. on August 25. According to the Ministry, the 20-y.o. man took the fall under unclear circumstances. He fell to his death from the 23th floor. Another tragic accident involving elevators happened to a young woman in an apartment building in Atyrau in July 2013. The building's elevator service team received a message that an elevator was stick between the 7th and 8th floor. There was a 24-y.o. woman with a child in the elevator. She tried to get out of the elevator on her own not waiting for the team to arrive. She unclenched the elevator's door and handed over her child to the people standing at the 7th floor below, but unfortunately, the woman herself slipped and fell into the shaft when trying to climb out.
