According to official sources, the area affected by the fire is still being assessed.
On October 6, a grass fire ignited in the Karkaralinsk district of the Karaganda region, spread to the border territory of Bayanaul National Park in Pavlodar region. In response, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) dispatched forces and resources, supplemented by additional teams from the Abai region, Akmolinsk region, and Astana.
By October 7, at 2:30 PM, the steppe fire, which had affected an area of 10,000 hectares in the Bayanaul district of Pavlodar, was localized. The firefighting efforts involved rescue teams from Pavlodar, the Department of Emergency Situations in Astana, the Abai region, military unit 68303 of MES, forestry services, and volunteer firefighting units from local authorities.
The natural fire in the Karaganda region was localized today, October 8, with the area affected still being assessed.
