Kazakhstan National Security Committee investigating into Soldiers of Khalifat

Kazakhstan National Security Committee is investigating information on the Soldiers of Khalifat, Tengrinews.kz reports citing deputy chairman of National Security Committee Usser Mizanbayev.“We are finding out whether such organization exists or not. Many people are self-appointed. We will be able to say later,” Mizanbayev said November 2 about Soldiers of Khalifat group that claimed responsibility for both explosions in Atyrau on October 31.“There is no information on relation to any religious sects,” he said about suicide bomber Sultangaliyev.According to Usser Mizanbayev, investigation on explosions in Aktobe and Astana is not yet completed. “There are always suspects on every criminal case, it’s not possible that there are no suspects,” he said.Speaking of possible threats of new terrorist attacks, Mizanbayev said: “Law-enforcement authorities and National Security Committee are doing everything to prevent the danger.”
