Fire-fighters spent 4 days quenching a forest-steppe fire in the beginning of September in Zhelezinskiy region of Pavlodar oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Emergency Situations Ministry. According to the authority, the fire at the forest-steppe territory of Tasdtinskoye forestry of Urlutyub Forests and Animal Protection Organization in Bolshevik village was localized at 12:30 a.m. on September 2, but was fully quenched only at 08:30 a.m. on September 6. The operation involved 10 employees and 3 vehicles of Tastinskoye forestry, 12 employees and 2 vehicles of the voluntary fire-fighting service. The fire covered the area of 144.9 hectares, including 125.2 hectares of forest and 19.7 hectares of steppes. No casualties were reported.
