Hurricane rips off roofs in Pavlodar Oblast 09 июля 2015, 14:42

A hurricane blasted through Pavlodar Oblast in northeastern Kazakhstan.

A hurricane has blasted through Pavlodar Oblast, Tengrinews reports citing the press office of the Oblast Department of Emergency Situations.

Heavy wind hit Aktorgay District of Pavldodar Oblast tearing off roofs of the local public school, KazPochta post office branch, the Community Center and five apartment buildings. According to the press office, the local public school suffered the most form the hurricane. The area of damage extended to a thousand square meters.

All in all, the damage area amounts to 2027 square meters. No one was injured in the hurricane. A special committee is currently working at the site and calculating the damages.

Earlier, a hurricane in Yekibastuz ripped off the roof of a five-story apartment building with the damage extending to 300 square meters. The roofing fell on the cars parked near the building and the playground.
