Tengrinews.kz - A man decided to fish at Lake Zharlykol but got tangled in the reeds, according to the press service of the Department of Emergency Situations of Akmola Region.
The man was found five kilometers from the village of Zharlykol.
"This evening at Lake Zharlykol, five kilometers from the village of the same name, a man born in 1948 was found and rescued from the reeds. The fishing enthusiast was unable to get out on his own with the boat," said the Department of Emergency Situations.
The man explained that a sudden gust of wind had carried the boat into the reeds. His escape was hindered by a back injury.
Rescuers reported that the man's condition is stable, and he does not require medical assistance.
