The victim of the shooting in Almaty has been discharged from the hospital, Tengrinews reports citing deputy senior doctor of Almaty Hospital No.4 Zhumakhan Moldakulov. According to the doctors, the patient will need a month-long rehabilitation. “The patient has discharged today. That doesn’t mean that he has fully recovered. We will still monitor his condition while he is at home. The surgery was timely and the treatment results have been good thanks to that. He has discharged after his condition improved. The post-surgery period is going well and the wounds are healing quickly,” Moldakulov said on October 11. The tragic incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. on September 26 when two employees of Travel Express company were attacked at the crossing of Satpayev and Zheltoksan streets in Almaty while transporting the company's money. One of them was shot dead, the other one was wounded. Initially it was considered that the attack was a robbery that went bad, but later the police confirmed that none of the money was stolen. The wounded man had a surgery in Almaty hospital the same day. Two bullets were removed during the surgery. An investigation group of the most experience police officers was formed in Almaty Interior Department. The police is searching for the attackers. No arrests have been made so far, but the police has a video of the attackers running away from a nearby street camera.
