Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced an important event in Kazakhstan's science and education sector, citing Akorda.
Speaking at the awards ceremony for the winners of the Alem.ai battle and AI Governance Cup, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that the process of digitalization and the widespread implementation of artificial intelligence open the way for large-scale transformations.
“Therefore, we are paying special attention to improving the competencies of citizens and training them in digital skills. Currently, more than 650,000 students are enrolled in the Al Sana program. In the near future, it is necessary to prepare another 100,000 specialists in artificial intelligence and deep-tech technologies.”
The President noted that this year, an important event in the science and education sector is expected in the country.
“A new type of technological educational institution will be opened — the University of Artificial Intelligence. Our top priority now is to train qualified personnel for this industry. It is necessary to attract talented youth and create conditions for quality education. It is also extremely important to support promising technological projects and companies. Undoubtedly, systematic work in this direction will give a powerful impetus to the development of the entire country,” the Head of State said.
Earlier, the President expressed confidence that it is the progressive youth who will become the driving force that will take the country to new heights and make the world proud of our achievements.
The Head of State emphasized that large-scale transformations are being implemented in the country, affecting all areas of public life.
