Mega training project will be launched for Kashagan in Aktau

An internationally certified training facility for oil workers is going to be built in Aktau to meet the develop of the nearby offshore fields., Lada writes. This issue was raised at the meeting of the core group of Yessenov Caspian State University of Technologies and Engineering with deputy Akim (Governor) Birzhan Kaneshev. "Development of Kashagan project has started and I think that we are already a little late. We needs a whole range of various oil experts to meet the demand of Kashagan project for manpower. According to some information, tens of thousands of workers are involved in development of the first phase and tens of thousands of them will be needed during the exploitation stage. This mega facility will enable us to train the experts and re-certify them for new technologies," deputy Akim said. Besides, the meeting covered several projects aimed at development of the regions economy and improvement of people's wealth. Special attention was given to oil and gas sector, ecology, agriculture and beautification of the territories. According to Kaneshev, they are going to invite a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to Mangistau oblast to help the local authorities better understand the direction of further development.
