Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science made a list of countries with universities providing quotas for Kazakhstan citizens, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Ministry’s press-service. In line with the education agreements, Kazakhstan citizens may apply for higher education alone the set quotas for 2013-2014 in 7 countries, including Kyrgyzstan (2 quotas for bachelor's degree and 3 quotas for master's degree), Belarus (3 quotas for bachelor's degree, 2 quotas for master's degree and 1 quota for doctoral program), Vietnam (3 quotas for bachelor's degree, undergraduate programs), China (139 quotas), Ukraine (30 quotas for bachelor's degree and 10 quotas for master's degree), Slovakia (2 quotas for master's degree and 2 quotas for doctoral's program) and Romania (1 quota for bachelor's degree, 2 quotas for master's degree and 2 quotas for doctoral program). The Ministry stated that government-sponsored grants were also available for Kazakhstan citizens in China, Turkey, Finland, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia and Romania under international agreements. Besides, Kazakhstan citizens can get master's and PhD degrees abroad under Bolashak program, a government sponsored scholarship in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan universities allocated 35,053 grants for Kazakhstan students in 2013.
