Exact dates and duration of the 2026 additional holidays for first-graders in Kazakhstan
According to the 2025/2026 academic year schedule, first-grade students will be on holiday from 9 to 15 February 2026, a total of 7 calendar days. On 16 February, children will return to classes and continue studying according to the regular school timetable.
Additional holidays for first-graders help children adapt to the school workload and avoid overfatigue in the middle of the school year.
Teachers advise using the holidays not only for rest, but also to restore a healthy daily routine. Specialists recommend:
- getting enough sleep and keeping to a familiar schedule;
- spending more time outdoors;
- reducing time spent on gadgets and screens;
- alternating rest with light intellectual activity, such as reading or board games.
According to teachers, such measures help children return to the learning process more easily and maintain interest in their studies.
School holiday schedule in Kazakhstan 2025/2026
In Kazakhstan, the school year is divided into four terms. After the winter holidays, students began the most difficult and longest third term, which lasts about 10 weeks.
Spring holidays are scheduled for 19–29 March 2026 (11 calendar days).
The fourth term will last about 8 weeks and will end on 25 May 2026.
