Operation of Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas has been suspended for 6 months because of several violations discovered during a check, Interfax-Kazakhstan writes. The scheduled inspection was held in the institute on October 18-22. "The inspection discovered violations of the requirements of state compulsory educational standards for students, educational laboratories, educational-professional programs, scientific and research work,” the commission for control of education and science of Kazakhstan's Edication Ministry stated. Besides, the experts discovered violations of standard rules of students enrollment and rules for students transfer and re-enrollment. Besides the license suspension, the educational facility has also been penalized for 287 thousand tenge ($1,950). For the last 30 years Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas has been educating engineering-technical professional for leading sectors of Kazakhstan's economy and especially for oil and gas industry.
