Tengrinews.kz – Schools across Kazakhstan are wrapping up the first academic quarter, and the Ministry of Education has announced the official dates for the 2025–2026 autumn holidays.

Students will have a seven-day break from October 27 to November 2, with the last school day on Friday, October 24. Classes will resume on Monday, November 3.

The ministry urged schools and parents to pay special attention to road safety, school discipline, fire safety at home, and children’s online security during the break.

Full 2025–2026 school vacation schedule in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s academic year is divided into four quarters:

  • Autumn break: October 27 – November 2, 2025 (7 days)
  • Winter break: December 29, 2025 – January 7, 2026 (10 days)
  • Additional break for first graders: February 9 – 15, 2026 (7 days)
  • Spring break: March 19 – 29, 2026 (11 days)
  • End of school year: May 25, 2026

The second quarter will run through the end of December before students head into the long winter holidays.
