Taraz hit by 3.7-magnitude quake

3.7-magnitude earthwuake hit Zhambyl oblast at 10:12 p.m. (local time) on November 21, Tengrinews.kz reports citing European-Mediterranean Seismological Center. The epicenter was registered 19km north of Taraz. This is the second earthquake in the last three days in the region. A 4.9-magnitude quake hit Taraz on Monday. According to KTK, the citizens heard a strong roar prior to the quake. It was followed by several strong shocks that shook furniture and windows. The residents felt the shocks for almost 40 seconds.
