Four people were delivered to hospitals after a storm that hit Almaty at 2:20 p.m. on June 27, press-service of Almaty Emergency Situations Department. Around 2:27 p.m. a man was delivered to the Central City Hospital. A tree fell on him at the crossing of Timiryazev and Gagarin streets. Later a woman was delivered to the hospital with the injury from a fallen tree in Butakovka bosk. One more person was injured in the children's campus called Gornoye solnce (Mountain sun). According to Department of Emergency Situations, the constructor got a closed rib fracture. Another constructor was injured in BalBulak children's rehabilitation center. He was delivered to the City Hospital No.12 at 6:22 p.m. Heavy rains flooded basements of 16 buildings. Besides, a road crossing on Al-Farabi street was flooded as well. Currently emergency services are pumping water out. Another fallen tree damaged a gas line in Medeu region. 84 buildings were left without gas. Other 115 residential buildings were left without gas in Taugul village, where automatic safety system switched on. Besides, deputy head of Almaty Department of Emergency Situations Yuri Ilyin told Khabar TV-channel that all children were evacuated from BalBulak center for safety reasons. Currently the option of 130 people evacuation from Alatau resort is being considered.
