4.4 and 4.7-magnitude quakes hits South Kazakhstan
A 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit South Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the Center of Collection and Processing of Seismic Information of Kazakhstan Institute of Geophysical Research.The shocks were registered on April 30 at 12:55 a.m. Astana time. The quake’s epicenter was located 72km from Shymkent. No casualties were reported.The quake in South Kazakhstan was followed by 4.7-magnitude earthquake in Almaty oblast. The shocks were registered on April 30 at 03:01 p.m. Astana time. The quake's epicenter was 236km east of Almaty. No casualties were reported.
