Twin car update: Plates fake, car stolen from Moscow

The identical twin cars of the same model, colour and with the same plates, discovered in Astana a couple of days ago have been checked to reveal their origins. The police discovered that the plats on one of the twins are fake and it had been stolen in Moscow, Russia, and illegally brought to Kazakhstan, Tengrinews reports referring to the press-service of the Internal Affairs Department of Astana. "On February 9 the white Mazda CX-7 with fake government plates was found at Saraishyk steer in the capital of Kazakhstan. Its frame and engine numbers were partially removed to conceal the criminal origin of the vehicle. The car was stolen on May 22, 2013 in Moscow, Russia," the press-service reported. The twin was discovered by the owned of the other twin. He spotted the identical white Mazda CX7 with the same plates as his when driving Astana streets. He parked his car right next to the twin, made several photos and called to the police. According to the press-service, the Internal Affairs Department of Astana has sent the inquiry to the Internal Affairs Ministry of Russia and appointed a trace examination. The investigation on the twin car case has not been finished yet. The police has still not identified the owned of the second twin. Last week a man driving the street of Astana noticed a car bearing the same plates as his white Mazda CX7, the twin car was of the same model and colour. It was parked near a residential block on the left bank of the Ishim River. After starting the twin case, the police has found a Land Rover with fake plates in Astana, driven by a woman.
