Shooting in Aktobe region, one person injured — media

Tengrinews.kz – A verbal conflict in Khromtau escalated into a shooting, during which one man wounded another. Police have detained the suspect.

According to media reports, the incident occurred on March 28. According to preliminary information, one of the participants in the conflict is an assistant district police inspector with the rank of senior lieutenant. He allegedly fired four shots from his service pistol into the victim’s chest and abdominal area.

It was reported that doctors hospitalized the injured man and that he is currently in intensive care.

The editorial office sent an official request to the Aktobe Region Police Department.

"A criminal case has been opened on this fact by the police department. The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. The victim has been hospitalized in a medical institution, his condition is satisfactory," the press service said.

The department explained that necessary investigative actions are currently being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident. At the same time, police warned citizens about liability for spreading knowingly false information.
