Tengrinews.kz - On September 18, a shooting occurred outside the Wildberries office in Moscow. Tengrinews.kz inquired whether this incident would impact the marketplace's operations in Kazakhstan.

Wildberries is a Russian marketplace founded in 2004 by Vladislav and Tatyana Bakalchuk. It operates in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Israel, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.

She confirmed that there was an armed attack on the central office of Wildberries and an attempted raid. She expressed gratitude to law enforcement, security personnel, and the company's security service for their professionalism, which helped prevent more severe consequences.

"The situation has not affected the company's operations or business processes. All services, pickup points, and logistics facilities of Wildberries are functioning normally, and both current and new orders are being processed correctly and delivered at our pickup points," Bakalchuk said in a statement provided to Tengrinews.kz.

The shooting resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left several others injured. The police have launched criminal investigations.

Following the shooting, Tatyana Bakalchuk tearfully addressed her estranged husband, whom she holds responsible for the incident.

"Armed individuals broke into our office, opened fire, causing chaos, and young people lost their lives. Vladislav, what are you doing? How will you face your parents and our children? How could you let it come to this absurd situation?" she said.

Vladislav Bakalchuk responded that he had come to negotiate with colleagues when they were attacked, labeling the incident as a "major provocation."
