Tengrinews.kz - In the Zhambyl Region, officers from the National Security Committee (NSC) intercepted a large shipment of smuggled cigarettes.
According to the NSC press service, on August 3rd, at the "Aisha Bibi" automobile checkpoint, the Zhambyl Border Service department stopped the illegal import of 30,000 packs of cigarettes.
The tobacco products, which were being transported without proper documentation, were disguised as consumer goods. The shipment has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
Previosly, foreigners attempted to smuggle a record batch of drugs.
