Tengrinews.kz - South Korean police have launched a manhunt for a 20-year-old Kazakh citizen who fled the scene after causing a car accident, according to the Telegram channel "Vsyakorea".

The incident occurred on the evening of September 20 on the Chongbu Expressway in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, where the Kazakh driver collided with another vehicle.

A recruitment agent who arrived at the scene after receiving a call about the accident informed the police that the individual did not have any identification documents. Consequently, police transported the driver to the station for further questioning.

At approximately 9:20 PM, while they were near fingerprint recognition equipment, the detained individual pushed the officers away and escaped. Preliminary reports indicate that the Kazakh citizen's visa in Korea had only been valid until July of this year.

Police stated that no physical force was used against the detainee, as he had voluntarily accompanied them.

"Currently, efforts are underway to locate the fugitive," the police confirmed.
