Tengrinews.kz — Russia has extradited to Kazakhstan a suspect in a fraud case, citing the Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the investigation, in 2023 the suspect stole money from seven citizens by posting knowingly false advertisements for the sale of foreign cars on internet websites.
After committing the crime, the suspect went into hiding and was therefore placed on an international wanted list.
In July 2025, he was detained in Russia’s Belgorod Region and later extradited to Kazakhstan at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
He has now been placed in a pre-trial detention center.

The crimes he is accused of carry a penalty of up to seven years in prison with confiscation of property.
