According to the press service, on May 31 at a checkpoint in the Turkestan region, border guards, with the help of a service dog, found and seized suspicious substances hidden in shoe polish containers in a truck.
"An examination revealed that the substances contained heroin, with a total weight of 775 kilograms," the press release stated.
The value of the discovered drugs on the black market could exceed USD 15 million.
Two foreigners were detained on suspicion of the offence and arrested by court order. A pre-trial investigation is underway.
