European banks claiming 18 million Euro from Kazakhstan tycoon

The preliminary hearings in the lawsuit of Societe Generale (France), Standard Bank PLC (England) and VTB Bank SA (France) against a large Kazakhstan agricultural holding Ivolga-Holding over 18 million Euro will start on August 29, Kursiv reports citing RAPSI. The substance of the has has not been disclosed. The lawsuit was filed on July 31. The newspaper writes that Moscow’s Inteks company is listed as a co-defendant in the case. The company operates as a wholesale agent dealing in agricultural goods. Ivolga-Holding is owned by 57-y.o. Vassiliy Rozinov. He also owns the Grain Insurance Company jointly with Nurlan Tleubayev. The holding includes agricultural, processing and engineering companies, a network of Ivolga petrol stations, a fleet of 50 aircrafts, Kostanai News newspaper and Alau TV channel. His wealth is estimated at $625 million. Vassiliy Rozinov was ranked 12th in Forbes Kazakhstan’s rating of the 50 richest people of Kazakhstan in 2013.
